REASON WHY AND GOALS

“Hi, I’m Carlos Mario Oquendo, Olympic bronze medalist. I live in Colombia, one of the countries with the highest biodeiversity in the world. I invite you to register now for the ACTING GREEN FORUM 2021 where experts in sustainability and climate change, sustainable business, as well as athletes from around the world will share how they are taking action to help save the planet and helping their careers. And they will give us the tools to do the same.”

The future of sport depends on a healthy natural environment.

The spectacular Amazon rainforest and other valuable natural resources in the Americas are under existential threat. The consequences could be devastating with potential global implications. The region houses more than one third of the Earth’s plant and animal species and produces more than one-fourth of all its fresh water. South and Central America, as well as the Caribbean are also home to some of the most dazzling and popular athletes and teams in the world.

We are calling on all sport stakeholders in the region and beyond to help protect sport and the places where we practice it.

Join us to learn how to inspire the world and catalyze the power of sport for climate action!

Engage and inspire all sports stakeholders to:

  • Use their platforms to raise awareness, inspire and drive climate action.

  • Explore purpose-driven and sustainable business opportunities.
